This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for a commercially minded marketer who loves live events and knows how to fill a room. My client is a fast-moving, ambitious events business with a portfolio of high-profile B2B conferences — and they’re looking for a Marketing Manager who can own the full marketing strategy, drive paid attendance, and help build a thriving delegate community.
If you’re energised by the challenge of turning awareness into ticket sales, and you understand the craft of positioning a premium event in a crowded market — read on.
What We’re Looking For
• 4+ years of marketing experience, with a strong track record of driving paid attendance at large-scale B2B events (1,000+ attendees).
• A strategic thinker who can develop differentiated positioning and go-to-market strategies that deliver measurable commercial results.
• A confident communicator — excellent written and verbal skills, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Highly data-literate, with the ability to interpret campaign metrics and turn insight into action.
• Proven experience managing integrated campaigns and juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on with digital marketing platforms, CRM systems (Marketo experience is a bonus), social media, and marketing automation tools.
• A genuine love of live events and an intuitive understanding of what makes them special.
• A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
What You’ll Do
• Own the marketing plan — Build and execute end-to-end, multi-channel marketing strategies aligned to commercial targets. You’ll set the direction, not just follow it.
• Drive paid attendance — Lead integrated campaigns across digital (paid social, search, display), PR, email, content, and partnerships, managing the full delegate funnel from awareness to purchase.
• Position the events compellingly — Craft messaging frameworks and value propositions that cut through the noise and speak directly to the right audiences.
• Steward the brand — Ensure every touchpoint — digital, print, social, on-site — reflects the event’s identity consistently and with impact.
• Track and optimise performance — Set KPIs, monitor results through analytics platforms and dashboards, and adapt in real-time to hit attendance targets.
• Build community — Develop a 365-day engagement strategy for the Global Leaders Forum, growing membership and sustaining momentum between events.
• Manage the budget — Allocate spend smartly, maximise ROI, and keep stakeholders informed throughout.
• Collaborate across the business — Work closely with event production, sales, finance, and operations teams, as well as external agencies, to deliver seamlessly.
This role is ideal for someone who is ready to step up, take real ownership, and leave their mark on a portfolio of events that genuinely matter to their audiences.
