Senior Marketing Manager, B2B Financial Services / Wealth / Asset Management – 12 Month Parental Leave
Location – London (2-3 days per week in the office)
Salary to £80k Basic + £20k Bonus, and strong Benefits
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced financial services marketer to drive promotional campaigns and partner marketing for the Wholesale/B2B financial products area of our global Financial Investment client. You’ll work with senior stakeholders across sales and investment to create impactful marketing programmes that balance immediate commercial wins with long-term brand building.
As the key marketing contact for several strategic distribution partners—including advisers, platforms, wealth managers and insurance companies—you’ll manage account marketing plans, develop compelling campaigns across multiple channels, and ensure every communication drives the sales objectives forward.
You’ll be hands-on with marketing campaign execution, oversee agency relationships, and continuously optimise the marketing mix—from digital and social to events and content—ensuring maximum impact and ROI.
Key responsibilities
- Campaign development and delivery – Create and own integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring timely delivery of relevant, engaging content to agreed budgets. Build and execute email campaigns hands-on using Marketo.
- Strategic partner management – Act as the primary marketing contact for strategic distribution partners, managing day-to-day relationships and ensuring their marketing requirements are met effectively.
- Sales enablement – Develop high-impact presentation content and materials for sales teams to use across national events programmes and client meetings.
- Marketing mix optimisation – Deploy the full range of marketing channels—advertising, email, web content, webcasts, LinkedIn, content placement and product collateral—to maximise cut-through and engagement.
- Client segmentation strategy – Contribute to evolving contact strategies that reflect key client segments, ensuring marketing programmes align seamlessly with sales activity and customer journeys.
- Performance measurement – Utilise appropriate metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness, continuously optimising programmes for greater efficiency and impact.
- Agency and vendor management – Brief and manage ongoing relationships with external agencies and vendors, ensuring effective delivery and evaluating service levels.
- Compliance oversight – Ensure all marketing programmes and materials adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
What you’ll bring
- Deep financial services marketing expertise, particularly in investment / asset management products, with the ability to communicate complex investment propositions clearly and compellingly
- Proven B2B campaign experience across digital channels, with strong skills in audience segmentation, media planning, and performance measurement
- Relationship-building prowess—you’re confident influencing senior stakeholders and managing agency partners
- A strategic yet hands-on approach—you can think big picture whilst executing the detail with precision
- Analytical mindset and process-driven approach to evidence-based marketing
- Energy and resilience to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Understanding of UK regulatory requirements affecting marketing communications
- Experience with Adobe Analytics and Marketo is advantageous
- IMC or similar professional qualification preferred
